This collection (1973-1977) consists primarily of correspondence to and from Representative Francis Bardanouve, a Harlem, Montana, farmer and Democratic state legislator, during the 43rd, 44th and 45th legislative assemblies. This correspondence includes letters with constituents, legislators, and state agencies; news releases and newsletters prepared by Bardanouve; and miscellany, including notes on the closing of the Montana Children's Center and the Utility Siting Act. Francis Bardanouve was born in Harlem, Montana, on December 10, 1917. He attended the Harlem public schools and graduated from Harlem High School. He was a stockman-farmer from the Harlem, Montana, area. He was first elected to the Montana House of Representatives in 1958 for the 36th Legislatvie Assembly.
